David Eales
Founder
David is a born educator with a passion for social justice. After doing post-graduate studies in criminology, David moved to Vietnam in his mid-twenties to work as a teacher, where he lived for 26 years. Through teaching, he discovered service-learning as an effective way for students to understand social issues. This approach has become part of each educational tour he designs. He is also a scuba diving enthusiast who’s dived everywhere in the Asia region. As such, David oversees all our trips with a marine conservation focus in Malaysia and the Philippines as well as our student ski trips to Japan.
Long Nguyen
Operations Manager
Long’s association with travel operations spans over 20 years. Having worked as a tour leader before becoming operations manager of one of Asia’s largest travel companies, his knowledge of travel operations in Asia, the Middle East and northern Africa is unique. Long was also the general manager of one of a leading destination management company (DMC). In his new role as operations manager for Student Educational Experiences, Long is responsible for the wellbeing of every student & teacher throughout their journey. Long holds an MBA and has strong associations with governmental and non-governmental organisations throughout the regions in which we operate.
Tour leaders
Our tour leaders are more than just guides – they’re also teachers, translators and troubleshooters. They manage tour logistics, so you can focus on your students’ individual needs. They speak English and their national language, which makes communicating simple. And they work responsibly to make sure your school group stays healthy and safe at all times.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll be warmly welcomed into a new country. Your tour leader will work attentively to connect you and your students to local food, transport, accommodation, people and ways of life. You’ll be supported to negotiate new customs and different perspectives with tolerance, cultural intelligence and empathy.
